Role Brief
The Marketing Communications Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing impactful marketing and communication strategies across various channels, supporting internal and external communication efforts, and contributing to the overall reputation and brand awareness of the bank.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop engaging and well-crafted content for various communication channels, including press releases, website content, social media posts, and internal communications.
- Execute go-to-market strategy for the bank, including digital and traditional
marketing campaigns in line with business objectives. - Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and challenges, guiding strategic marketing decisions.
- Create content for customer engagement and product marketing via social media and email communication
- Manage the creation of marketing collaterals, including brochures, presentations, and digital assets, to support sales and customer engagement efforts.
- Cultivate relationships with media outlets and journalists to secure positive coverage for the company.
- Monitor and analyze the bank’s media coverage.
- Create periodic reports on social media performance, marketing and brand activities
- Provide support with corporate and trade events.
- Create and implement internal communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged.

- Knowledge of and experience in using a variety of digital platforms and tools including social media platforms, Meta Business Suite/Ads Manager, YouTube, Mailchimp, Google Display Network, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout, Meltwater, etc.
- Proficiency in MS Office particularly MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2+ years of proven experience in a marketing and/or communications role, preferably within the financial services or creative industry.
- Proficiency in digital and growth marketing is an added advantage
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with financial terminology and the ability to simplify complex information.
- Experience with content creation, editing, and social media management is highly desirable.
